2008 Event Schedule Sunday 27 July 2008

Sunday 27th July 2008 - ERC Fourth Points Show & Double Points Show
To include - The prestigious Carr Day & Martin Total Horse Care Award and an additional members only ridden championship sponsored by BSPS.

There is a Ridden Championship & an Inhand Championship held at the end of the day. Open to club members and visiting competitors. All 1st and 2nd placed competitors from all classes except A1- A8 may enter at no extra cost.

Members - £3; non-members - £5.00; visiting members of other BRC Riding Clubs on production of a valid BRC membership card - £3
Rosettes to SIXTH place except where stated.

RING A MORNING: FIRST CLASS STARTS 10.00 PROMPT

A1 CLEAR ROUND HORSE/PONY 10:00 -10:45am - Course set at 65cm. Rosettes for all clear rounds. Entry £2 each round payable at the ring.

RING A - 11:00am PROMPT

A2 MINOR PONY SHOW JUMPING -Two rounds 65cm & 70cm not timed. Rosettes for all double clears.

A3 INTERMEDIATE PONY SHOW JUMPING - 75cm & 80cm jump-off.

A4 OPEN PONY SHOW JUMPING - 85cm & 90cm jump-off. Prizes £10, £6 & £3 depending on numbers.

A5 PAIRS JUMPING - One 80cm round pairs relay against the clock. Only £5 a pair. Enter under one number on one entry form please. Points are not awarded for this class

A6 MINOR HORSE SHOW JUMPING - Two rounds 70cm & 75cm not timed. Rosettes for double clears.

A7 INTERMEDIATE HORSE SHOW JUMPING - 80cm & 85cm jump-off

A8 OPEN HORSE SHOW JUMPING - 90cm & 95cm jump-off. Prizes £10, £6 & £3 depending on numbers.

RING B MORNING; FIRST CLASS STARTS 10.00AM PROMPT (OR AFTER C22 IN JULY)

B9 NOVICE WORKING HUNTER HORSE/PONY - Horse & rider combination NOT to have won a 1st before 01/01/08.

B10 WORKING HUNTER PONY - (153cm & under) No spurs.

B11 WORKING HUNTER HORSE - ( over 153cm )

B12 MINIMUS WORKING HUNTER HORSE/PONY - To include lead rein ponies. Max ht 30cm. Entrants can not enter any other jumping class except Clear Round & Riding Club H&P

B13 RIDING CLUB HORSE OR PONY

B14 BONNY PONY - To include an adittional mystery novelty prize. Class will be judged by a Club Officer.

RING B AFTER LUNCH BUT NOT BEFORE 12.30

B15 NOVICE EQUITATION - Rider not have won any equitation comp. before 1 Jan 2008. Snaffles only. No spurs

B16 RIDDEN MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND SMALL BREEDS - Pure and part bred No spurs.

B17 RIDDEN MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND LARGE BREEDS - Pure and part bred No spurs.

B18 RIDDEN VETERAN (15 YEARS AND OVER)

B19 RIDDEN COLOURED

B20 JUNIOR EQUITATION 15 YEARS & UNDER - No spurs.

B21 SENIOR EQUITATION 16 YEARS & OVER

C22 TACK AND TURNOUT - (including lead-rein).

C22 Carr & Day & Martin ‘Total Horse Care’ Award. **** JULY SHOW ONLY ****
This is a ridden (inc. lead rein) class only! 30% of marks are awarded for turnout of horse/pony, rider/handler & tack. 50% for condition inc. freedom of action. 20% for short show set by the judge. Superb prizes to be won .

C23 LEAD-REIN (SHOWING) - Rider 8 years and under. Snaffle only, lead-rein to nose band, plain/leather- covered canes only. Rosettes to all. Rider can only compete in C25 off lead rein.

C24 LEAD-REIN EQUITATION - Rider 8 years and under. lead-rein to nose band, plain/leather covered canes only. Rosettes to all. Rider can only compete in C25 off lead rein.

C25 FIRST RIDDEN (PONY) - Rider 10 years and under.

C26 FAMILY PONY

C27 NOVICE SHOWING HORSE OR PONY - Not to have won a 1st prize in any showing class before January 2008. Snaffles Only! No spurs!
